Dr. Omer Bartov, the John P. Birkelund Distinguished Professor of European History and a professor of German Studies at Brown University, will be the guest speaker for Drew’s 2019 George and Alicia Karpati Lecture.

A book signing will follow Dr. Bartov’s talk. The program was established in 2005 by Michael and Noemi Neidorf in honor of Noemi’s parents, bringing outstanding authors and scholars to Drew in the fields of Jewish/Holocaust studies and Eastern European history. Prior speakers have included Elie Wiesel, Daniel Mendelsohn and Robert Fisch. Proceeds benefit the library’s book endowment fund.
